We teach BIG gospel truths to the youngest people amongst us in safe environments because we believe what JESUS has to say about children.

Children’s Ministry On Sundays: Everything You Need To Know

Signing In

As you enter the building, we invite you to sign in your Preschool through Upper Elementary children (ages 3 - 6th Grade). If you are visiting, simply write in your child’s name, along with any allergies we need to be aware of. Scan the QR code on the sign-in sheet to fill out the Family Information form so you can always be up to date on important information.

You will sign your baby (0-2 years) into the Nursery when you drop them off before the sermon. You will be given a numbered badge and must show that to pick up your child after the sermon.

Children’s Address

Just before the sermon, the preaching pastor will invite all children to join him up front for a short lesson geared towards them. If your child is unsure of going up on their own, you are welcome to join them at the front or they can simply listen from their seats.

Sunday School

The pastor will conclude the Children's Address in prayer, after which all children will be dismissed to their classes. Please accompany your Nursery (0-2) and Preschool (3-5) aged children to their rooms. Early Elementary (K-2nd) and Upper Elementary (3rd-4th) children can join their class on their own or you are welcome to walk with them.

In class, children will receive an age-appropriate lesson using the Bible and centered on biblical truths, always with two screened adults in the room.

  • For Nursery (ages 0 - 2), we introduce children to simple Bible truths and the names of God in a safe and caring environment. Children are free to play with age-appropriate toys and there is no formal teaching time. If your child needs a diaper change or remains upset after 10 minutes, a teacher or helper will call you back to the room for assistance.

  • The Preschool class (ages 3 - Pre-K) start off on the story mat where they will engage with their peers and hear a Bible story. After interacting with the story through a craft and other activities, children are free to play with age-appropriate toys. This class is for children who are able to participate in story mat and table activities. We don’t move children up from the Nursery as soon as they turn 3 years old, but will decide with you when they are ready for the Preschool class.

  • The Early Elementary class (Kindergarten - 1st Grade) has time to engage with their peers and hear a Bible story. Following an interactive review of the story, the children learn a memory verse, create a craft, and play games related to the lesson.

  • The Elementary class (2nd - 3rd Grade) hears a Bible story as they follow along and read themselves. They will learn a memory verse, sing songs, color, and begin to develop basic Bible study and life application skills.

  • The Upper Elementary class (4th -5th Grade) learn about the heroes of the Bible and get to view larger portions of Bible history. We encourage children to bring their Bibles to class because they learn to read the Bible through engaging activities. Bibles are also made available to those without their own. Through games, word puzzles, songs, and more, the children explore Biblical truths and learn how to apply them to their lives.

During The Peace, you will return to the class to pick up your Nursery, Preschool, and Early Elementary children. Upper Elementary children are dismissed and make their own way back to you. Children in Preschool and the Elementary classes will typically return with something to take home. The Preschool and Early Elementary crafts have a “For the Parent” section on the back that have suggested questions to ask your child to extend the lesson through the week.
